Any conflict, particularly conflict involving family and those who you love or have loved, is traumatic and emotional. It is all too easy for the conflict to become a battle and even a war. In situations of conflict like this people often head to solicitors. Mediation is a very specialised skill with a very different approach to that of a solicitor whose aim it is to ‘win’ for a client. But this is not necessarily the best way of resolving your conflict in a way that will allow you to get on with your life. An adversarial approach is especially not helpful when children are involved.
At Progressive Mediation we believe in doing things differently. We want to help you resolve your conflict in as amicable way as possible, minimising hurt and pain. Between us we have over 25 years of professional experience. We are a small family run mediation service, operating from home which means that we can keep our fees affordable and can be available for you when you need help and support, during the daytime, evenings or at weekends. We are always ready to talk to you on the phone in between appointments. We are members of Resolution, the College of Mediators and the Civil Mediation Council.
